Questions
Frequently asked questions
What professional bodies is Louise associated with?
Louise is associated with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), AGILE - Chartered Physiotherapists working with Older People, and ATACP - the Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is usually needed. Physiotherapists have professional autonomy to assess, advise and provide care independently. If another healthcare professional should be involved, Louise will advise you.
What can I expect at the first appointment?
The first session usually includes a conversation about your health, goals and concerns, followed by a practical assessment of movement, strength, balance or function. Treatment and exercises are then tailored to you.
What if I am nervous about my first session?
That is completely understandable. You remain in control throughout the appointment, and you are welcome to have a family member, friend or carer present for support.
Where do appointments take place?
Appointments take place in your own home, making treatment more comfortable and helping Louise understand your day-to-day environment.
How do I pay?
Payment is requested at the end of each session by cash or BACS. An invoice and receipt can be emailed after the appointment.
